We are producing a NEW pictorial directory for our church. There is no cost to you or the church to have your photographs taken, and you will receive a complimentary 8x10 color portrait AND A DIRECTORY for participating. You will be able to view your images electronically immediately after you are photographed. At that time, you will have the opportunity to purchase additional portraits to share with family and friends.

Life Touch is giving back to our community. If your family will bring non-perishable food items to your photography appointment, you will receive a $5 off coupon toward the purchase of portraits. These items will then be donated to local food pantries in the area.
Starting this month, our monthly newsletter, Crossroads is loaded on our web-page. To view it on-line, click on the side menu under Sharing for "Crossroads", click on the drop down menus for the year and month you wish to access and simply download the file. It's that easy!

Job Description Adult Youth Leader
Description of Position:
The Adult Youth Leader is a position at Mossville United Methodist Church whose purpose is to develop and grow a ministry to youth in the Mossville community. There are two identical positions with the intention of there being two adults present at all activities for the protection of everyone involved.
Desired Characteristics of the Ideal Candidate
The candidate should have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
The candidate should attend worship on a regular basis at Mossville UMC or their home church.
The candidate shall be a minimum age of 19 years of age.
The candidate shall be reliable, and able to work on their own with minimal supervision.
The candidate shall be able to relate to youth in grades 5 through 12.
The candidate shall successfully pass a background check.
Create an environment for youth to discover and grow in their faith of Jesus Christ.
Recruit and grow the Mossville UMC’s ministry to youth.
Plan, facilitate, and supervise two youth group activities per month during the academic school year.
One activity must be a lesson based activity.
One activity may be an off campus group building social activity.
Coordinate publicity for youth events including placing articles in the church newsletter and worship bulletins.
Recruit and supervise volunteer youth ministry staff/parents.
In this person’s absence from an event, he/she shall coordinate a qualified substitute. There shall be a minimum of two Adult Youth Leaders, or their qualified substitute, at each activity.
In cooperation with the directing pastor, he/she shall create and administer the youth ministry budget.
The Adult Youth Leaders shall report regularly to the Directing Pastor concerning the activities and needs of the Mossville UMC Youth Ministry Program
$50 per event per month ($100.00 total per month.)
Basic expenses related to youth group activities.
Supervision and Evaluation
The Adult Youth Leaders shall be supervised by the Directing Pastor of the Mossville United Methodist Church on behalf of the Staff-Parish Relations Committee (SPRC). The SPRC is responsible for setting wages/benefits, and for providing an annual evaluation.
